Check it out! I got a quill pen and ink set plus a journal as a cool gift….a long time ago. I tested out the nib and the ink. Then, I made a Thank You card using the pen and a page from the journal. In this video I also show a deckled edge technique we used to do as kids as well as attaching a ribbon and bow to one level (the top level) of the card front.

There are a few tips and tricks that can help you make creative embellishments for your cards, journals and scrapbook pages.

Independence Day Cards

I made a pile of cards to celebrate the 4th of July using brilliant red, white and blue! I used basic cardstock, punched out stars, a few stamps and a tracing wheel to create these festive greeting cards. If you have a lot of scraps, then you could be using them to make something beautiful just like these cards.

I created a whole set of cards at once and in this video I show the steps I took to do so. I created specialty shapes as .svg files available for you to download for free from my vault (look for design R007). Using a whole bunch of supplies from my stash, I cobbled a pretty good set of cards I’d be happy to hand to my love any time. These tips and techniques can be used to make a set of cards for anything you like whether they look the same as each other or all different as I’ve done.

Captured footage of my hands making this beautiful card with these ultra cool flowers that I stamped with some smooth, photopolymer stamps and vibrant, dye and pigment inks. This video marks the first time I’ve sped up the footage and added a lovely music clip making the viewing more enjoyable.
